The wasabi quality seems to vary - the first time I came it was really strong, the second time it tasted like it came out of a cheap tube. Which is what we come for every time. I honestly think this is one of the best restaurants I have had in a long while. The Tsukune (chicken meatball) comes with quail egg on the side. On top of this takoyaki dish, there’s takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, and dried bonito flakes. They also didn't skimp on the uni at all.
The light citrus sauce was a great pairing.The $18 Sashimi with homemade cold soba buckwheat noodles was divine. My boyfriend always gets the duck soba and I get the pork.

It'd be nice if they played some kind of music. Authentic soba and izakaya! You can have tasty nigiri, octopus balls and yakitori chicken at Sugidama Soba & Izakaya. All had their own unique taste and were all very good.
